Please don't EVER let her straighten her hair permanently. I had hair just like her but it was really thick also. My mom used to do it on the weekends and I would have to stick with it for a week since we had no time during the weekdays. I was very tender headed too. Around 12, my mom asked me if I wanted to get my hair permanently straightened and of course I said yes. My hair was down to the small of my back, 8 years later its at my shoulders and it won't grow. Its thinner than it used to be and it won't seem to grow. Come to find out, my hair was not meant for that type of chemical.
I advise getting her a ceramic flat iron. If you flat iron her hair once a week (if needed) and then wrap it in a wrap cap it will be just fine for the rest of the time. Teach your daughter to love her hair because she will embrace it when she gets older and regret it if she gets it straightened, I know I do.

No you should never let her permanently straighten her hair all it will do is damage it even more just buy a really good straightener and let her straighten her hair every night (make sure she puts in heat protectant) and then she can put it in a loose braid or put it in a low pony tail and sleep in it then the next day take the pony tail down or unbraid the loose braid and it should still be straight as long as u put it in a lose braid or a low pony and make sure to buy a good hair straightener that is expensive because if you straighten your hair with an expensive one it should last a whole week or even more as long as ur little girl dosent shower then it will just go back to curly i suggest she showers on saturdays and straightens it on sunday night plus it isn't that good to shower your hair as often just once a week is fine.hope this helped and to tame the fly aways just use hair spray and an anti frizz shampoo.

I'm 16 and I wanted to permanantly straighten my hair when I was in 8th grade (a little older than 11, but same age range). Anyway, surprise, surprise! (Haha), I do what lots of preteens and teens do...I changed my mind! I went throught this hair-straightening phase...I was so sick of the curls and frizz, and I straightened my hair every day for a month. Then I couldn't take it anymore. It took too long, and it wasn't worth it, and then my idea of permanant hair straightening went out the window soon after my mom told me I couldn't. Now I'm over all of that and I've accepted that I have curly, frizzy hair, and I just deal with it. How to deal? Smoothing cream and hair gel every morning. It takes me no longer than 10 minutes.

No...because I did it before and now I regret it. It is so much easier to straighten you hair on a Sunday night and it last about a week. I use a ceramic flat iron that I bought from Sallys. And I use silk elements. All of this stuff can be found at Sallys and just ask ask one of the workers and they will help you pick out the correct products for her hair type. But in my opinion she is too young for a permanent straightener, but if you are going to do it make sure you dont do a Japenese relaxer

She's too young - it will have long term effects on her hair if you get her started so early with those harsh chemical processes (my mom started mine at age 7 and many years later I realized that I really didn't NEED it). Use a product that will enhance/create the natural wave/curl (I use Frizz Ease Corrective Styling Gel) and have her go wavy, or use a non-permanent product that helps relax hair and speed the straightening process along (I use Wind Down Cream, also by Frizz Ease). A permanent straightener will loosen the wave, but if she wants sleek, stick straight hair with no frizz she will probably still have to flat iron it. Teach her to embrace her naturally beautiful waves - they are back in style!

Try straightening it with a flat iron. The first time I straightened my hair by myself was when i was nine. It would be kind of sad if someone couldn't straighten their hair.... it's extremely easy and I bet she could do it herself, just don't let her get burnt. Since she doesn't have enough time in the morning try waking her up a little earlier or have her set her alarm clock earlier. Fifteen minutes is how long it takes me, but my hair is already pretty straight. Don't let her permanently straighten it until she's thirteen to sixteen.

That seems a little extreme for an 11 year old. I would recommend straitening products. I use John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Ahead shampoo and conditioner. I blow dry my hair strait with a brush, then if needed I go over my hair quickly with a flat iron and finish with John Frieda hair spray. It only takes about 10-15 minutes total to do my hair.

If you buy an expensive iron that is ceramic that will do wonders. I have really frizzy curly hair and I love my iron. I used to have my hair straightened but it really is damaging. Your daughter is so young to start with the chemicals. Try the iron and if you straighten it the night before it should hold for some time. It also helps if she only washes her hair twice a week. Curly dry hair needs the oils.... :) Hope this helps...

I don't think she should start damaging her hair at that age, whether it be by chemical straightening or flat ironing. I think you should look into some of the frizz products that people have already mentioned and maybe get some good gel, hairspray, or scrunching spray and have her scrunch her hair. It doesn't take very long and it's pretty easy to do. I do this on days when I'm too lazy to straighten my hair and it looks super cute.

No, I wouldn't get her hair straightened permanently. That involves harsh chemicals that can ruin her hair in the long run. Try giving her hot oil treatments once a week. A good homemade treatment is extra virgin olive oil with honey. Warm it in hot water (not the microwave because it may get too hot). Apply it to her hair, making sure every strand gets saturated. Wrap her hair in cling wrap, then a warm towel (can be warmed in the clothes dryer). Leave on for 30 mins, then wash her hair. It may take a couple washings to get it all out, but her hair will be soft and managable.
