A fair number of things are yet to come about before Jesus returns, not all of which I know or remember.

The Beast (the king over the 10 kings) must come to power. The False Prophet (with his false Christianity) must also reign in collaboration with the Beast. The Great Falling Away must occur (a large number of true believers will loose their faith). The wickedness of certain nations must become full, and then several wars must play out (including one against the English speaking nations in which they will be defeated and conquered). But most importantly, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God must be heard among all nations; God will not punish the nations until he has warned them.

Well said Apostle. Which time are you referring to? Jesus comes first and I believe soon (if you read Revelation and watch the signs), to take the christians to heaven. Then Jesus comes with the christians to earth to stop the war (Second Coming of Christ) and to set up His Kingdom on this renewed, restored earth = millenium. What needs to happen before Jesus comes for us christians (rapture) = nothing! What really needs to happen is that unbelievers humble themselves, swallow their pride and accept The Word of God and have an intimate relationship with Jesus!!

The main thing that needs to happen is for Israel to get into a war and then the Anti Christ will show up and bring peace. Then the Jews will build the Temple. Then the Anti Christ will decalre himself to be God, then all hell breaks out. Three and a half years later, Jesus shows up and saves the Jews from genecide and then He will set up His one thousand year Kingdom..

If you read the Book of Revelation, it spells out what must happened before Jesus returns. The moral decay of societ, lack of parental respect, things like this that shows we're headed to the Rapture and His return. Can't happen soon enough.

its all listed in the Bible. like Jesus says....natural disasters will start happening....things like that. there will be many many scoffers////and beware of false prophets cuz thats when they will be around the most, near the end of the world. Jesus is waiting as long as He can....Hes waitng for the others to come to Him...He wants everyone to have a chance....theres really nothing that NEEDS to happen. but there will be signs like the natural disasters n stuff......and so far what i know is what actually NEEDS to happen is we all need to accept Jesus.

Pigs must learn how to fly. I think pigs learning to fly jets will be an acceptable alternative to them being genetically modified to have wings large enough to enable flight.

NOTHING...

Jesus enumerated a pretty long list of NON-SIGNS of the end...

Matthew 24:6 “You will hear about wars. You will also hear people talking about future wars. Don’t be alarmed. Those things must happen. But the end still isn’t here. 7 Nation will fight against nation. Kingdom will fight against kingdom. People will go hungry. There will be earthquakes in many places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then people will hand you over to be treated badly and killed. All nations will hate you because of me. 10 At that time, many will turn away from their faith. They will hate each other. They will hand each other over to their enemies. 11 Many false prophets will appear. They will fool many people. 12 Because evil will grow, most people’s love will grow cold. 13 But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 This good news of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world. It will be a witness to all nations. Then the end will come.

Revelation 1:1 This is the revelation that God gave to Jesus Christ. Jesus shows those who serve God WHAT WILL HAPPEN SOON. God made it known by sending his angel to his servant John
Revelation 22:6 The angel said to me, “You can trust these words. They are true. The Lord is the God of the spirits of the prophets. He sent his angel to show those who serve him the THINGS THAT MUST SOON TAKE PLACE.”

-- The beginning and end of Revelation speak about the time frame in which the prophecies in it will take place. They are said to happen soon or quickly.

The SAME GREEK PHRASE is also used in Acts 12:6 “It was the night before Herod was going to bring him to trial. Peter was sleeping between two soldiers. Two chains held him there. Lookouts stood guard at the entrance. 7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared. A light shone in the prison cell. The angel struck Peter on his side. Peter woke up. “Quick!” the angel said. “Get up!” The chains fell off Peter’s wrists.”

Would you think the meaning of the phrase allows time for years of waiting?

Revelation was written to tell THOSE PEOPLE that THEIR PERSECUTION would SOON be ended. It WAS NOT written to tell US about the Lord’s return. Its meaning is held in FIGURATIVE language. In order to understand its TRUE meaning, lets look at some CLEAR LANGUAGE passages which speak of Jesus’ return and his kingdom:

2Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar. Fire will DESTROY EVERYTHING in them. God will judge the earth and everything in it. 11 So EVERYTHING WILL BE DESTROYED. And what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives.

Mark 9:1 Jesus said to them, “What I’m about to tell you is true. Some who are standing here will not die before they see God’s kingdom coming with power.”

1Corinthians 4:20 The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk. It is a matter of power.

1Corinthians 15:23 But here is the order of events. Christ is the first of those who rise from the dead. When he comes back, those who belong to him will be raised. 24 Then the end will come. Christ will destroy all rule, authority and power. He will hand over the kingdom to God the Father. 25 Christ must rule until he has put all his enemies under his control. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.

1Corinthians 15:50 Brothers and sisters, here is what I’m telling you. Bodies made of flesh and blood can’t share in the kingdom of God. And what dies can’t share in what never dies. 51 Listen! I am telling you a mystery. We will not all die. But we will all be changed. 52 That will happen in a flash, as quickly as you can wink an eye. It will happen when the last trumpet sounds. The trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised to live forever. And we will be changed. 53 Our natural bodies don’t last forever. They must be dressed with what does last forever. What dies must be dressed with what does not die.
54 In fact, that is going to happen. What does not last will be dressed with what lasts forever. What dies will be dressed with what does not die. Then what is written will come true. It says, “Death has been swallowed up. It has lost the battle.” 55 “Death, where is the battle you thought you were winning? Death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin. And the power of sin is the law.
57 But let us give thanks to God! He wins the battle for us because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done. 58 My dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Don’t let anything move you. Always give yourselves completely to the work of the Lord. Because you belong to the Lord, you know that your work is not worthless.

-- Premillennialism teaches that man was able to prevent God from completing his plan at the time of Christ. This is a very WEAK view for believers to have of the creator of the universe. IF he is capable of creating BILLIONS of stars, HOW could a few mere humans thwart his plans? This IS NOT a teaching consistent with the descriptions of God and his kingdom in scripture.
