Why do you ask each other to pray for you? Either Jesus is the ONLY intecessor or not. You can not have it both ways.

Let me explain this. When we pray to Saints we are praying to Jesus through them just like you say you do. They pray to Jesus for us and through Jesus too. This is what the body of Christ is about. It is ALL through Jesus.
Yes, it is me.

None of the answers directly answer the question I've noticed protestants are like this. Midge don't worry they'll find different ways to condemn are acts but to commit the same acts and justify them somehow.

When i pray for somebody intercede or i pray for that person if their faith is weak.

Interceding is different than being an intercessor.

As an intercessor all prayers like creation must go through him to the Father.

I pray for someone through Jesus to the Father.

Two different things. Intercessor Jesus. Interceding or me.

What Catholics do now in asking the Blessed Mother and the saints of the Church to intercede for us comes from Apostolic Tradition. We can not just rely on the Bible as the sole and infallible guide to Christian doctrine and practice. The Bible does not make that claim either explicitly or implicitly.

As the following passages show, the early Church Fathers not only clearly recognized the biblical teaching that those in heaven can and do intercede for us, but they also applied this teaching in their own daily prayer life. Please note that some of these teachings were written before some of the New Testament books.

Hermas

"[The Shepherd said:] ‘But those who are weak and slothful in prayer, hesitate to ask anything from the Lord; but the Lord is full of compassion, and gives without fail to all who ask him. But you, [Hermas,] having been strengthened by the holy angel [you saw], and having obtained from him such intercession, and not being slothful, why do not you ask of the Lord understanding, and receive it from him?’" (The Shepherd 3:5:4 [A.D. 80]).

Clement of Alexandria

"In this way is he [the true Christian] always pure for prayer. He also prays in the society of angels, as being already of angelic rank, and he is never out of their holy keeping; and though he pray alone, he has the choir of the saints standing with him [in prayer]" (Miscellanies 7:12 [A.D. 208]).

Origen

"But not the high priest [Christ] alone prays for those who pray sincerely, but also the angels . . . as also the souls of the saints who have already fallen asleep" (Prayer 11 [A.D. 233]).

Peace and every blessing!

God is the Father of all mankind. God redeemed us all by His Word becoming Flesh (thus Jesus). This feat allowed us to regain fellowship with God again but because of the blood price that was paid to cover those sins, God says we are to accept Jesus as Lord, and through Jesus, God sees the blood which covers our sins, and accepts us and we can have a personal relationship.

Now to answer your question: We are told to pray for one another, pray for our enemies etc. but in the name of Jesus. Jesus said where two or more are gathered in His names, He would be with us also.

No contradiction here.

You are seeing it with your fleshly nature (see, hear, taste, smell, touch). The Bible is a spiritual book for spiritual people. You need faith and an open heart to understand it.

I think that you have confused the issue. Jesus is not the intercessor, but mediator. The Bible tells us to pray for one another. Ephesians 6: 17-19.

We pray to God through Jesus. He is our only Intercessor. We cannot approach the Throne of God ourselves as we are all sinners in the eyes of God. Only through the precious blood of Jesus that covers our sins can we approach God.

Because HE tells us to in HIS word. He tells us to pray and to fast. Jesus did His part and now our part is to have faith in the sacrifice He made, on our behalf, to release the victory that sacrifice bought for us. I am probably not explaining this very well. You need to sit down with a good Pastor and ask your questions (that is if you really want answers). If, on the other hand, you only want to "make us prove GOD" so you can argue then never mind.

God Himself tells us to pray for one another
JOB 42:8-10
2 Cor 13:9
Acts 8:15
Even Christ Jesus Himself prayed for His executioners.
Praying "For" others is Godly. Praying "To" others is sin.
God Bless You...

We can pray to God, in the name of Jesus, for God's name to be sanctified, for his kingdom to come, for our needs, or even for the needs of others, as long as it is within the realm of what we know to be God's will.

James 5:13-16: " Is there anyone suffering evil among YOU? Let him carry on prayer. Is there anyone in good spirits? Let him sing psalms. 14 Is there anyone sick among YOU? Let him call the older men of the congregation to [him], and let them pray over him, greasing [him] with oil in the name of Jehovah. 15 And the prayer of faith will make the indisposed one well, and Jehovah will raise him up. Also, if he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him. 16 Therefore openly confess YOUR sins to one another and pray for one another, that YOU may get healed. A righteous man’s supplication, when it is at work, has much force."

Christ prays through us when we yield to Him, so in essence it is Christ who is the intercessor and we are the tools He prays through.

In previous testomony cases the Jewish severe priest became the mediator between God and the Jews. His function became to behave as middleman between God and the people whilst he entered the Holy of Holies with the blood of the sacrifice. As Paul defined, Jesus entered into the temple "no longer outfitted with human palms" to grant his very own blood on our behalf, and serves now as our severe Priest and mediator of the recent covenant.
