1 1/4 C = 5/4
multiply the bottom number by 2 and leave the top # alone. ans : 5/8C > 1/2 C+ 2 TBS
Remember there are 2 Tablespoons per ounce or 16 TBS per cup since there are 8 ounces per cup 2TBS is the correct answer

The easiest way to think of it is 1/2cup + 2 tablespoons or ten tablespoons. 4 tablespoons = 1/4 cup. When my mom told me that, it changed my cooking life.
