when we moved into our living house we had white cabinets in the kitchen with a foul peachy colour on the walls and ceiling. After some interest I verify to color my kitchen walls a colour called Cracker Bitz it really is a very good warmth colour and that i got here across it at Lowe's. The ceiling I painted white and that i made curtains in a fabric that had an same colour because the walls in the historic past yet as well had reds, blues and vegetables. I then carried those shades as my accents for the period of my kitchen. as an party potted herbs, and artwork. My stainless living house equipment even seem strong with it.

If you are talking about that wood trim half way down the wall, some call it chair rails, so that your chair doesn't bang against the wall but on this trim instead, or sometimes it is called "wainscoating", not sure of the spelling. I just put some around my dining room walls, plus on one wall in the living room. It really makes the room look nice.

It's called "chair railing" and it's there to keep the backs of chairs from scratching the wall. That makes sense huh? Crown molding connects the wall and ceiling.
What's pretty is to paint the railing an accent color that goes with the two other colors of the room.

Just ask for a chair rail. I've also head it referred to as wainscoat. But I've also heard paneling going halfway up the wall called wainscoat.
What ever you call it, it really dresses up a room. What colors are you using? Have fun and good luck.

I'm not 100% sure but I want to say it's crown moulding? You can find that at places like Menards or Home Depot.
