I've never been enthralled by the idea of pulling the wings off a plane, then subjecting it to Lord only knows what on the highways. Always felt that was for wrecks. It's a pretty flight over much of the route you specify, so why not take a couple of days off or even a week-end and fly it over yourself? If you're not ready for that kind of trip, I'd rather see you hire a ferry pilot for the job. One man's opinion.

While it is possible to remove the wings and put the whole rig on a flat-bed truck and drive it there, I would advise against it, as there's too much potential for damage to the aircraft while being transported on the ground.

If the plane is out of annual or needs repairs, either spend the money to make it airworthy where it sits, or you may still be able to get a ferry permit for it, and hire someone to fly it to where you want it.

Good Luck.

There are a number of car transport companies, my website lists a few: http://econofix.com/mislink.html

Your cheapest option would be to fly or train or bus over there and drive it back yourself.

Have the vehicle shipped. There are companies that will pick your car up from it's location and have it shipped to your location with a large car transporter.
