how do you use a curling iron?

Can someone please try to give me a video to show me how to do it.
Just to let you know I bought a Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron by Conair.

I read the booklet but the instructions don't really make sense.

1) Make sure your curling iron is ready to go.
2) Make sure your hair is dry.
3) Take a small piece of hair in your hand.
4) Open the curling iron and clamp it at the top of the piece of hair you are holding.
5) Slide the curling iron down to the end (or close to the end) of your piece of hair. Be careful!
6) Release the pressure on the curling iron so it will clamp down on the end.
7) Slowly twirl the piece of hair around the curling iron until you reach the top.
8) Let your hair get hot for 10 or 15 seconds.
9) Carefully untwirl the curling iron and unclamp it.
