My so called brother ruins all my relationships.
The last girl it took me 3 weeks to get her to go out on a date with me. The date was going great and we had plans to go out again for dinner and a movie. That is until my brother ran into us and my friends one night after leaving a local bar.

He blantenly, and discustinly embarresed me and my friends at the restraunt and I have called her numerouse times with no answer or reply.

I will not go into what happened at the restraunt, all I will say is
he was demonstrating things that were discusting. And that he is gay.

I dont know what to do to get this girl to see that I am not like my brother . I just keep wondering if it would have worked out.
I will say one thing on her part, that I feel is the reason she didn't want to go back out with me- She has a 5 year old little boy.

I keep wondering, if my brother would just not have showed up that night. Would things be different.

give her some time..don't act like a stalker by calling her repetledly..call one time and explain on her ans.mach(hopefully she has 1)that your brother wasn't acting properly that night and to not let that affect her judgement . That you would appreciate if she would talk to you, and if not that you were sorry that the date didn't turn out so smooth ,and if she ever wants to call you,it's o.k & take care .--whatever you do, don't keep calling her .if she doesn't call back..keep your dignity and don't call no more//u will meet another girl worthwile!

Well, first of all, you shouldn't blame your brother. If it takes you 3 weeks to convince a girl to go on a date with you, she doesn't really like you she's just hungry. If a girl likes you, it doesn't take her 3 weeks to say yes.

Second of all...don't blame your brother for your problems. Grow up and be a man.

Are you and your brother still living at home, i.e. under the same roof? If so, maybe it's time for you to move out, become your own person, and limit and/or completely cut off contact with people who see nothing wrong with embarrassing you on purpose.

No sense in wondering if it would have worked, eventually she would have met you brother. If this is his typical behavior, she would have left later anyway if he really is the reason she is not returning your calls.

Just remember, you want a girl that will understand that you can't choose your family and will put up with him the same way you do.

That is a shame. Can you talk to your parents about your brother? Maybe they can speak to him about his obnoxious behavior. The next time you go on a date, go to a nearby town to limit the possbility of running into him. And once you are old enough, move away from wherever he is.

I would suggest that when you go out on a date that you take her on the other side of town and then you should warn her how your brother is.

Tell your brother that he embarrasses you maybe he'll ease up. And If you leave a good enough explanation on her answering machine, maybe she'll consider seeing you again.

Brothers suck, but if she was truly interested, she would have let the event go and known it wasn't who you were. I think she used it as an excuse to move on.
