Im in love with someone but I think they only care about looks,(im average looking). Do girls like other things besides looks?

like i go for their personality instead of their looks if i think their personality is cute then i go for them if i think all they care about is looks i care less for them
i care a little bit for looks but then again i can care less
1.care bout personality
2.if u know how to have fun
3.if u can make them laugh
4.if your not a slob
5.a gentlemen (when needed,not all the time)
6.have stuff in common
7.if u can dress yourself
8.if u can talk to her without doing or saying something stupid
9.if u really like her
10.if u be yourself and only yourself

some girls do. I personally can't just say "oh this person's hot" unless they have a good personality, but if I get to know someone, regardless of how he looks, and he's got a great personality, I'm interested pretty quickly. This is if the guy isn't muscular. I actually prefer non-muscular guys.
Anyway, I can't be the only girl out there who's like this! And you're probably more attractive than you think, because you sound a lot like my best guy friend, who's so insecure, but who I'm completely in love with, haha.

Oh my gosh boy, If you want a decent girl....looks are almost out of the question.....I mean ofcourse that can be the first attraction but if you share the same sense of humor with her, are kind, confident, and just yourself... that can overweigh what you look like. This is from experience, I have dated not so good "appearing" guys but their personality was a hit..which made them cuter than ever....then I've dated guys (particularly one guy) that was georgeous on the outside but all he cared about was how good he looked and was too into himself...like he would whip out his money and talk about how good he is at everything. It was a MAJOR turn off. I bet you are awesome and if the girl can't see that then you deserve someone worth waiting for!

Of course but you are talking of only one girl. Self Confidence actually is more impressive than good looks . Girls also like a guy who makes them laugh,that they can feel at ease with, feel safe with ,have fun with and especially a guy that listens to them,cares about their feelings vs being all wrapped up in himself only. Besides what you term love is actually being attracted to and no one really knows what it is that makes people be attracted. If the girl shows no interest your attraction will eventually fade and in time go away for love by just itself does not survive.Concentrate on being confident in yourself and having yourself. grow as a person Join some clubs at school,get involved in the social activities at your school or better yet Volunteer at local animal and children's shelters-girls like guys who care.

Absolutely. I mean, in my opinion, there has to be some level of physical attraction, but all girls have different preferences. You might be some girl's perfect type. There have been plenty of guys that I have found attractive that my friends think are disgusting and vice versa. (I shouldn't say disgusting...just not attracted to them.) But there have also been guys that I didn't intially find attractive but their personalities have changed my mind. If they are really sweet, have similar interests or goals, etc. And I'm such a sucker for funny guys. If he can make me laugh, it makes him so much more attractive to me! So, yes, there are plenty of things besides looks that influence how a girl feels about a guy. Hang in there and you'll find someone. Hope that helps!

No I am ugly as sin. Well, not that bad but not exactly Hollywood material either. I am loved by my wife (well I hope so) and been loved in the past. It's not really about looks it's about chemistry between the two of you. I don't know if it's my personality or what. It just happened. By the way, my wife is easily the hottest woman I've ever been with. Love works in mysterious ways.

What is wrong with average looking , and besides most men would think they are average looking. So much the better, no one likes self-centered men. Handsome..ness is in the personality so it is important for you to be yourself always.

I'll tell you something buddy. Most women love great looking men. I hate to admit it but it's true. However another great way to get a sexy beast ( contradiction lol) is to major in some high payable career like becoming a Doctor. Women love Money and Men love Women.
