They both sound like myths to me...I can't think of a single reason why you would not drink water after eating fruit or drinking milk.

You can drink water after anything edible or drinkable. No harm done, except a black cat may fall off a ladder somewhere in the wee hours of the night. lol.

nope, not true at all, but I wouldn't suggest you eat large amounts of certain acidic fruits such as oranges, or grapefruit and then drink milk. This can curdle the milk in your stomach, it won't kill you, but it will give you an upset stomach! Yuck!

I don't know where you got that from. Besides, milk is mainly water anyway.
The only thing you probably don't want to do is follow grapefruit juice with milk. But that's more for reasons of taste than health.
