Age is just a number, what matters is the maturity level and what two people have in common. When two people are many years apart in age, there are other factors that come into play...like, do they call attention to themselves, and are they comfortable with that. And, what about the fact that women live longer than men, and aren't able to have children after the age of around 40, where as men can have children at any age. What really matters is that they both love each other and are willing to accept the changes that old age brings, or accept the patience that immaturity requires.

What do you mean exactly? The average age of the two people involved? Their age relative to each other? The age of the relationship? If both people are happy together, I don't see why age should make a difference. I'm of course barring the obvious extreme examples like somebody "dating" a 7 year-old.
However, on a more practical level, people of different age groups tend to behave in different ways. People who are older might want something more long-term, or might be looking for people who will want to raise a family with them. And in general, people of different age groups have different hobbies and hang out in different places, so you really don't see them together too often. Though there are plenty of exceptions to the rule.

Yes age does matter in a relationship. Different age groups means different phases in life, I would never date someone older than me, and definitely not someone younger. My One is the same age as me. Maturity does matter but I just couldn't do it. It's a world of trouble.

Yes, we all mature at different developmental stages. If you have surpassed or lag being someone else in a relationship, it is difficult to maintain because you are too mismatched. It something to consider if you are thinking about embarking on a relationship w/ someone a lot older or younger than yourself.

As long as one of the couples isn't old enough to be the other couples parent, age doesn't matter that much.

The way I see it...if you're both over 18 and want to be with each other, no, age is not an issue.
