When a dog is submissive and happy to see you they will circle with their heads close to their butt or turn kinda sideways with their tail and head held low... and wag their tails furiously and lay the ears back and lick excessively.. if thats what you are talking about then it is just a dogs way of greeting and acknowledging the pack leader. It is a display of submissive affection used to reinforce pack bonds and social status.

OK this question is a little confusing. You should put more detail about the dog but I'll try to answer it. You see sometimes when dogs get too excited to see their master, their tails wag a lot and their bodies end up going to an odd direction. The other reason that I think it could be (this happens to my dog) The dog has a problem scratching themselves. Some dogs that are overweight or just old like mine can't reach their butt so when they see you they want you to scratch their butt.

I really hope this helps and if you think that its not something healthy then you may want to go see a vet. I hope my answer helps and I'm, sorry you may think it is wrong but add some more detail so that other people can know what is really happening.

It's a form of submission to acknowledge you as the dominate one... It's a k-9 thing. Like rolling on their back when you approach.. Same thing.

when dogs approach in this manner it is a sing of submissiveness, dog will expose their most vulnerable body parts (back sides and the belly) to show that they truly trust that person and they dont want any violence, so by showing you this they are saying I TRUST YOU.

It's possesed, or it wants spanky butts. Try it. It's when you rapidly spank a dog on it but. They love it! By the way, in a high pitch voice you have to say Yea, you like that.....
