I think my boyfriend is using and am worried about him. Can anyone tell me signs to look for so I can tell if he might be using marijuana? Then I will confront him.

I don't want him to get all defensive and upset thinking I don't trust him if he isn't using.

If he has bloodshot eyes and he has the munchies you know he's using. Marijuana can lead to Psychosis, a really harmful mental disorder. This leads then to paranoia. People who use tend to lose their social life and later on start to lose their sex drive. He might become addicted and this could be really bad. Talk to him, find out. If he says nothing and you still think something is going on, do some more investigating.

Red eyes is a sure give away. Also, if you ask them questions and it takes them a little long to answer. Also, if they smell like weed/smoke on their clothes. Or, if they seem spaced out a lot. But why don't you just ask him.

but he will not turn into a lunatic or contract any scary desease from it, aside from the smoke damage to his throat smoking marijuana is safer than aspirin, there has never been a single recorded instance of death by pot, read up on it to be sure for yourself but dont let people scare you

Changes in behavior. Does he panick when you ask him? Tell him to talk to someone, if he does not and refuses, there might be chances that he is.

Just ask him straight up. If you now him well you can tell if he is lying. Biggest give away is the eyes.
