Our dog is a black lab and we got him when he was only a puppy and the lady we got him from said he had been neutered, Well now that he has gotten to be a full size dog, I dont know to believe it or not because he does have his balls and i have heard different things about this..
So can anyone tell me how you can really tell if he had been neutered without taking him to the vet..
Thanks

i bet it would be possible to neuter a dog and have him keep his testicals, i have chemically neutered dogs in the past to keep behaviour problems at a minimum with dogs who are done showing but not done breeding,

however i also bet it would take a person a few phone calls to find a vet wiling to neuter a dog without removing his testes because that is downright dangerous,

they also have silacon testicular implants that cost 5K in the us for dogs whose owners have issues with thier masculinity and have to see a scrotum filler on thier dog

NO your dog isnt nuetered and should be as soon as you can afford it

http://www.thepetcenter.com/sur/dneut.html This is a website that shows you how the neutering process is done. They do remove the testicals of the animal. So if yours still has them, then he has not been neutered, and I suggest you go get that done. If you don't, your dog will start humping and spraying everything in sight.

If he has testicles, he is not neutered. I highly recommend that YOU neuter him to prevent unwanted behavior like humping and spraying. He will also have the urge to escape and find a b*itch in heat which can cause a lot of problems, especially if he finds a small dog in heat and they successfully mate.
