ok. so ive liked this guy for about 4 and a half years and i found out about 8 months ago that he has also liked me for the same amount of time. about that time we started hanging out and just recently we started getting pretty close and i told him that i didnt want to be just "friends with benefits". he agreed but said that hes not ready for a relationship right now. i was ok with that. but then one night when he came home from college i stopped by with cookies and he kissed me. that was about 3 months ago and since then weve gotten really close, no sex just making out and flirting. lately hes been really distant and he told me that he still liked his ex a lot, but she wanted nothing to do with him. i dont know wat to do. i really like him and i want to help. i dont want to throw away wat we already have but i cant wait around forever. wat should i do???

Awwwww! It just sucks that he's still into his ex. But he seems like someone whose going to take a while to come around. If you can't be patient, then straight up tell him the way you feel. Everything. If you are willing to wait or not, tell him. You can't be shy when it comes to stuff like this, but don't sound too forceful. Good Luck.

ok this is hard to do, but you're going to have to put yourself out there even more. just be totally honest with him. tell him it's all or nothing. you don't want to just be that girl that he's making out with you want more then that, and you deserve it too! let him know that its ok if he doesn't want a relationship now, but that if he doesn't want one now that you guys can't be making out and stuff. i know its hard even for you to let go of, because it is fun, but in the long run its just going to hurt you. just let him know how you really feel and let him be the one to decide.

Just be there for him. Obviously he has not gotten over his ex yet, that always does take time, just be the one to show him that you're not going anywhere and when he realizes this your relationship can proceed.

You're going to have to make him decide, and when you do, you have to be ready for him to say something you don't want him to, but be hopeful that he will say something you do want him to. If you don't make him go one way or the other then you'll just be his cuddle buddy every time he comes home and when he finally picks a girl it probably won't be you.

Just try to talk to him. See if you can get his mind off the ex without being to obvious.
Just be you, and see what happens from there. He will see it your way sooner or later.
