What up, bro.
Speedin' up your torrent speeds are easy, but getting people to seed their files is another thing. Speed all depends on how many people seed their files. If there is only one seeder, your DL's will be terrible.
You can tweak out your router by going to "www.portforward.com" and that site will give you directions on how to do this.
You do have another option. There is a program called "BT Engine". EXCELLENT torrent accelerator. Drop me an e-mail or meet me in a chat and I'll send you the registration information to unlock the registered version.

Dedicate more bandwidth to your download
Right click on the torrent you are downloading and then click bandwidth allocation, set it on high
