Biotin suppliments, lots of water, and vitamins work well and always use a good shampoo and conditioner. Only shampoo your roots, and condition your ends. Never getting haircuts works only if you want unhealthy long hair, which is worse than short hair if your trying to grow it out. Go though and cut off all your split ends inbetween hair cuts, that way they can cut off less hair when you get a trim. You can twist your hair in sections so all the ends stick out and go through and cut off the parts that are unhealthy. Avoid styling your hair too much. Blow drying, rubbing your hair with a towel (just ring your hair out and let it air dry), curling and straightening all promote breakage. If you have died hair there a serum called "anti snap" that works well, you can get it at regis salon. Also, try to avoid products with silicones.

i hope this works, my hair grows pretty slowly but since ive been taking good care of if i have noticed a difference.

The key to growing hair is not usually what you put onto your hair, unless you're talking about stimulants like Rogain. Usually things that help your hair grow come from your diet. Try taking Vitamin B and/or Fish Oil. They will work wonders for your hair!

Get your hair cut every six weeks.
If you really want it to grow, and I'm not sure this stuff works, but there is stuff you can put in your hair and it will grow a lot in a short amount of time, look up hair growth or something on google, maybe you will find what I am talking about. Sorry, I don't remember what it was called. : (
Hope this helps!

i am a liscensed hair dresser and i know exactly what you need to do. 1st...brush your hair all the time. You want to get the oil that is in your scalp brushed through to the ends of your hair. That is the best conditioner there is for your hair...your natural oil. 2nd...When you shampoo your hair in the shower...massage your scalp with your fingertips for a couple of minutes...this gets your oil glands kickin". and 3rd...trim the ends of your hair every 4-6 weeks not too much just a 4th of an inch or so. i hope i helped you with your problem. and your-welcome

3 things. I don't know firsthand if they work or not, but i've heard ppl swear by them, even hairdressers:
1. get a calendar that shows the phases of the moon, and cut your hair when it is a "new moon"
2. Put rubbing alcohol on your scalp
3. Wear your hair up in a ponytail during the day

You need to nourish it from within. There are vitamins you can take to help your issue. They're over-the-counter.
