please tell me what does it means

in a problem.

That is in reference to a gas that is heated by compression.

All gases and liquids heat and expand upon compression so an indices of compression describes the commonality between the compression ratio and the expansion ratio in the process.

Ei= Cpr compression ratio as caluculated/ Cp of actual gas as measured with a pressure device.

I tried looking them up and couldn't find them in relation to thermodynamics. It "sounds" like a spring constant, which is the same for expansion and compression.

it means its volum in second state divide first state is 1.35
