Have you had her checked out by a vet? Limping isn't normal. Goldens can be prone to hip problems.

Large breed dogs are prone to hip dysplasia--goldens, rott & labs top the list. My rott/lab mix has been having problems off & on since he was about 9 months. There is an operation where the ball of the leg bone is removed so it will fit in the hip socket. Your dog needs xrays of her hips to be sure she has it. I've talked to other owners who've had this done with their dogs, and they all said their dogs are much happier. There are also vitamins/supplements you can give her. Ask your vet for more info.

Because Golden Retriever's are prone to hip dysplasia, I would take her to the vet to make sure nothing serious is going on. She may be in pain, but is just not showing it. If her foot is cracked, it may be painful, which would be why she doesn't ant to walk on it. I would rather be safe then sorry! Good luck, and I hope its nothing serious.

Some breeds can be prone to hip problems..goldens included. Were her parents hips certified?

I'd take her to see her vet to see if she is having some early dysplasia problems.

Maybe she just over did herself.

Dogs tend to do that sometimes...lord knows mine do!

May need to take her in for x-rays. Lots of goldens have trouble with their hips, you don't want it to get worse.

If she is limping, then she is in pain. Please seek the help of a canine physical therapist.
