this is normal, most dogs have several nipples that are considered "Blind nipples" meaning that they serve no function, even if milk is produced the nipple itself has no opening to it

I have a rottweiler and she has 10 nipples and then like an 11 one right in the middle. It is a defect, lol. But 10 is a normal number for a larger dog.

The number can vary. Dogs have between 6-12 nipples. It often varies by size (larger dogs have more). I even have a female that has 9. It's okay for them to have 10 (or even an odd number).

That is the normal number of nipples for a dog to have.
