my two year old autistic son. i posted it in the form of a question. i asked " may i just say thank you to everyone who helped me praise my son, he doesn't know why he is being praised, but it has made his night. so again may i just say thank you?"

does this offend some of you?

That's too bad that someone could be so mean spirited. The way this board is set up, doesn't offer alot of options for a give and take exchange between askers and answerers in a situation like that on the board, maybe Yahoo needs to explore that, and come up with something. I will grant that it wasn't really a proper question, but the person who did that is just plain nasty.

I am sorry that someone saw it as a problem. I didn't see the other postings from you, but thanking someone for help and praising your son sound like good things to me.

Good grief, no. . .why should it? I have an autistic nephew that I love dearly, and I'd be thrilled to have someone boost his self-esteem.

Tell your son that I think he's terrific and that I hope he has a wonderful night. Way to go, big guy. . .lots of hugs and kisses from "Auntie" Wolfe!

(And kudos to you for being a good and caring parent, too, BTW.)

I am glad you are doing this. I have an autistic nephew... and you have done a wonderful thing praising your precious son.

There are many amazing people on this forum. There are unfortunatelly also a bunch of complete morons who use this same forum.

And then there is the worst of all: the "report abuse button fetishists". Some people seem truly addicted to the report button.

Looking at some of your past questions, it seems you like to tee-off the fundamentalist Christians by asking them questions that would force them to think outside the narrow box of holy barbed wire.
It could just very well be that a fundamentalist troll has it in for you.

I don't see anything offensive about that. More people need to learn to say thank you. I'm glad your son is happy!
