With all of the good it can possibly do, it also has the power to be abused. I am against it, and would fight to the bloody end to refuse it, should it ever become mandatory. I have no doubt that it will become mainstream for most in the future. I happen to dig living off of the grid from time to time, and would have no problem making it permanent if the VeriChip is ever required for any reason. The VeriChip holds medical, and financial information, as well as GPS. It's about the size of a grain of wild rice, and is inserted just beneath the skin on the arm. Not only does it remind me of the mark of the beast, it is just too easy to hijack information from a RFID reader. I see too many things that can go wrong in this picture. Just count me going underground, when this comes around.
Peace!

I've studied eschatology and Revelation does not prophesize this particular method for the taking of the mark of the beast which is what you are referring to. Yes Revelation does prophecize that if you are here during the Trilbulation, you will have to take the mark in order to buy or sell anything, but it does not say what method is used. It does say it will be on your hand or forehead. I believe that this method could be used for the mark or any other method that is required of people to buy or sell. From gold, to cash, to checks , to credit and debit cards, to fingerprinting and iris scans and possibly a chip -- look at the progression here. Another sign of the end times whether you want to see it or not.

Technology is the Beast! So what is the anti-christ? Technology!
One says how? I ask this: How can the anti-christ overcome the beast? And how can the beast bring the anti-christ back to life!

And for those who disbelieve that technology is not the beast!

Exodus 32:1

[ The Golden Calf ] When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, "Come, make us gods [ Or a god ; also in verses 23 and 31 ] who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don't know what has happened to him."

So explain how they smelted gold, or formed a cast, or stoked a fire hot enough to smelt gold. Is this not a form of technology?

If you calculate "computer" it will come up as " 666 ". Then read the passage and it says people will receive a "mark" of this beast.

Then look in Strong's and Greek dictionaries for "mark" and you will come up with charagma. A root word of "card"

Then realize "mark" = "card". National ID card is the mark of the beast....NOT the chip. The chip is a deception so you focus on that and not think twice about the card.

Look up the National ID card.....cannot buy, sell, have a job, bank account, enter buildings, etc w/o it. Just as the Bible states.

(to calculate: straight down on paper, put A-Z. starting with A, put 6 then count down the list by 6 (6, 12, 18, 24, 30, etc). then add up the numbers beside the letters for computer, it will be 666)

You're going to have to tell me where the bible mentions microchips. The language in Relevations is very figurative and can be interpreted in a variety of ways. This is a very strange interpretation you have made here. Can you point out the verse that refers to a computer chip?

Additionally, if you look the person above me, he thinks that the bible refers to National ID Cards. The fact that you two aren't in agreement about this proves how loosely Revelations can be interpreted.

It pains me to know that most people accept as foretelling the future, Stars, Tarot Cards, and men such as Nostradaumis, BUT refuse to believe or even conceder that JAMES , may have actually had a vision over 2,000 yrs. ago that warned people about the chip implant. Even as that prophecy COMES TRUE they still refuse to say, well, mabey, I am wrong in my disbelief. The other signs he spoke of was I man who would help bring about world peace to those who comply. A wound to his head that should have killed him, but a "prophet-holy man" will heal him. No wonder people will believe in him. The Moslem temple (dome of the rock will be destroyed and the Jewish people will be allowed to rebuild Solomans temple and then His true nature will be revealed.

a similar ought to be stated for debit enjoying cards and social protection numbers. I dont have self assurance interior the 'mark of the beast' yet i will admit its quite eerie. whether, in todays loopy international, in specific situations such steps are necessary (i.e. RFID chips to hint lacking infants or pets).

None; a microchip cannot be evil. And it wasn't prophecized because seeing the future is impossible. You obviously know nothing about RFID technology and what it's ACTUALLY for. Hint...it's not for putting in people and making them serve the anti-christ. Before you go off spouting "end times" nonsense you should actually read about these things.

Yeah. I heard about this chip a year ago.

Probably the beginning of things to come. With all the crime and ID theft going on, people may be inclined to have it imbedded. I think we have a ways to go though.

People are using them for their pets in case they get lost.
