Because we don't like getting older.
Responsibility, wrinkles, arthritis, gray hair.....

I'm only 23 and I have never liked birthdays. When you get older I guess you realize that stuff like that doesn't matter, it's more for the kids. Like Christmas and Halloween. To boost your self esteem? Who knows.

because they are jsut reminded of their ageing and not the happy younger years. Plus whats the difference between like 43 and 44

After a while birthdays are a pain in the ***(a guys perspective) but the alternative ..Ain't too great

plus there aren't any other presents that you want at that age, that people can afford, cause usually you already have everything

it is because when a birthday comes along, its not another year passed to celebrate, its another year less of life!!!!!!!!!
