You can manually erase your tracks by going into the history and right clicking on each entry and choose delete. You'd also need to do that in the address bar and you'll probably have to clean out your cookies in the internet options under the tools menu in your browser. Also you want to clean your cache in the system tools in the maintenance and performance in the start menu. You can probably find a free program to do all that at nonags.com, all their programs are free and tested to be virus and spyware free. Plus they got lots of other freeware for anything you can think of. Check out the educational category for fun prank type programs. Good luck and careful of those naughty sites - they leave all kind of crap on your computer without you even knowing it.

Have you installed some software off the internet lately? It may have changed your homepage. Go to the Yahoo page, click Tools/Internet Options, and click Use Current under the Home Page box. Then Open another browser window to verify the fix.
And yes, these programs can change your home page in Firefox/Mozilla also, it's a common command.

There is a form of adware/spyware on your PC. It sounds like it has hijacked your homepage and is obviously using scare tactics to solicit sale of bogus software. Do not purchase the software the page is offering. It is most likely another spyware app. and purchasing from them may make you vulnerable to identity theft.
Go to download.com and get Lavasoft's Adware. Another program to try would be Spybot Search & Destroy, CCleaner to clean out temporary files, and possibly HiJackThis!. HiJackThis! is a little more advanced but you can get assistance on their web forum on finding any problems. Hope this helps. Good luck

This is a classic spyware issue.
Download Ad-Aware SE from http://www.download.com...install it and run it. It is completely free and will solve the problem.
After you have removed all the spyware form the computer, you will need to reset the home page to the correct home page in Internet Options.
Another thing you may want to do is stop using Internet Explorer. Go to http://www.mozilla.com and download Mozilla Firefox. Use it as a replacement to IE...you won't have that problem anymore.

That is a pop up add. You do not need to buy it, but you do have pop ups coming through on your computer. You should download a firewall for your computer. I recommend ZoneLabs www.zone.com or something like that. It is free and will help stop pop ups like the one you described. DO not buy the software that came up though....good luck.

Did you download a trial version of "Evidence Eliminator"? Or did someone else do this? This is a promotion thing that a lot of companies do to get you to buy their products! Furthermore, I have downloaded this program myself so I know! It is a good program though!

Sounds like its an ad to make you buy their software. You may have malware installed which diverts you to a different website when you try to go to a well known one.

Your parent are proably keeping track of keystrokes that you make, websites that you visit, and other things using a tracking and spying software - it is designed to keep children from visiting unsafe websites, and to keep them safe. I suggest you confront your parents head-on, and ask them if they have been doing such things. To learn more about these tracking/recording software, visit: http://www.softactivity.com/
