Very hard question. Internet relationships have gotten a bad rep for some reason. I guess because it is 10 times harder to make a relationship that is strictly online work vs. a relationship where you can be with that person face to face daily.

I believe that they can work, but like I said it is extra hard. You can't be an overly jealous person and if you find yourself second guessing if this person is being honest with you then maybe it's not such a good idea. I have had a few online relationships and they did not work out at all. But they can, just takes plenty of work and there MUST be a time when you two can really meet and be together in real life. If not, the relationship can get stale very quick and nothing you can do can make it better.

it might work for a while but having a relationship that is strictly over the internet is difficult, you should make plans to see each other and meet in person because otherwise the relationship will not be as strong as it could be and be careful when getting involved in online dating and make sure that the other person is legitimate before getting in too deep

Not sure. I have been chatting in a relationship for a few months now and it seems ok. He does live in another continent though. As to being in real person have no idea if it would work?? I am having fun?? You should try it . Just make sure to the best of your ability he is single!!

Depends. I met my boyfriend online then in real life. it's working well.
I think a purely internet based relationship would be hard though.
(actually I think it's better to meet online first because you are less shy and get to know each other better!)

No, most of them don't. Relationships are better when u get to talk face to face with the other person and spend the day together, not on MSN or on the phone.

Real relationships work, and you can meet someone anywhere - even the internet.

They work as well as any other relationship does. Its about a 30% chance and a lot less if it is long distance.

Wow. They can work out, just as long as its not ALWAYS online. You definitely want to meet them in person and make sure they are who they say they are. I know this sounds kind of old, but honestly sometimes people fake themselves. Be careful, and if you do meet them in person, bring a friend with you!

I agree with Lacey. I also met my current bf online, then it progressed to talking to him on the phone, we finally met, and things are still going great.
