I've seen it quite a bit recently and I to have been to Iraq. Majority say that we are doing good things over there. Building Schools, Hospitals, Orphanages and other things and it is worth it. But they havent showed any of that on TV. They only show when the miliatry makes a mistakes and blow it out of proportion or the give full hour specials to a group of troops to telll how much they are against the war. Even the troops that are wounded, (missing an arm / hand/ leg and other injurys) are trying to fight the system to stay in and go back there. If it was so bad and not worth it do you think they would want to go back?

We lost 4 good people in my company and 2 were really close friends, and almost half of the company was wonded. I think about 1/3 of the orginal company had reinlisted. And the guys we lost supported what we did, because they were good things for a good cause, and there family still supports what we do. But you will never hear about it.

Unfortunately, a successfull mission isn't news.

Its funny how people are "worried" about Americans dying when the Americans that are over there believe in what they are doing. How is that support?

I agree with you 100%. Most people haven't taken the time to even try and get an idea of what is going on or why we are over there. They just repeat what they hear on the news.

Because it doesn't support the Anti-American agenda. It's pretty simple really.

I know many people who have been to Iraq. All but one reenlisted and wanted to go back. Everyone of them had good stories to tell. They were very upset that the media refused to portray a more accurate picture of how Iraq really is. The one person who didn't reenlist has been traveling around the country giving speeches about the true Iraq War.

To win this you need to destroy a culture which is a bad thing. I hate this war and seeing men and women killed and maimed is just to much. We have a leader who lied to us and hopefully in two years the next leader will pull the troops out and let the chips fall where they may.

We did the same thing in Vietnam
We did the same thing in Korea

We always do the sam thing, if a foriegn invader came here, executed George Bush and set up a puppet government. Then started building schools and orphanages for the orphans they had created. Would you support them?

Unfortunately, the media lives for ratings. If it bleeds, it leads. Good news doesn't bleed.

I also know many people who have been to Iraq, some more than once. They all say that the media is giving us a distorted picture that everything is bad there. It's not.

this war isn't about what the majority of the soldier think is right or what the majority of iraqis want, it is about the liberals wanting more power. it is sad, but that is what it has come down to.

Actually the majority of the troops do not support the war right now. Reenlistment is at a high because of the benefits the military is paying right now. There are plenty of troops who do not understand what we are doing there and do not agree with the choice to be fighting in iraq right now.

You were never in the military. You don't know what the troop majority is thinking, only what the brass wants you to think.
