They can say they aren't a gambling site because US citizens aren't allowed to deposit cash from their bank or credit cards into online accounts, the only games they can play are freerolls and playchips. Europeans can play for money. Online gambling was made illegal in the US last year and most of the poker sites were expected to go under but I think US players get around the law by using things like paypal and netchex to put money into accounts. Also US IP addresses are supposed to be blocked from poker gambling sites. By the way a gambling debt is not considered a real debt and is not enforceable so nobody loses there house over a direct gambling debt, thats why only rich people get credit lines.

No!, you should be able to do whatever you want under the roof of your own home.

Well the government might be hard on us lately but: Millions of U.S. citizens play poker and gamble online every day and not a single one of them has ever been charged, fined or prosecuted.
On September 30 2006, a new Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was passed. Does this change anything?
The new bill does not make online poker illegal.
The bill does not change existing gaming laws.
The bill does not touch the players.

Take care
