The vision statement is where you expect to be in 5 years or 10 years from now.
The mission statement would tell what it is you are trying to achieve.
The mission statement for my website is:
OUR MISSION
To provide all things Biblical, in God's timing.
My vision statement could look something like this:
OUR VISION
To have a commentary on every book of the Bible by December 31, 2010.

Have everyone involved from the top boss down to the people that clean your office at night. If everyone in the organization feels empowered and heard, they will be more likely to live up to the mission statement.

What specifically do you want to achieve? Think about the people you're sharing it with and try to speak their language. MOst of all, if it's a divine purpose, check with a divine source.
