"""THINK"""DON'T BE A TRAMPSTAMP-PINCUSHION, THESE THINGS GET INFECTED AND LOOK...REAL, REAL UGLY AS YOU AGE.
Go see a doctor and have it checked out to avoid serious problems later.
Don't listen to those airheads, especially "FITOFHONESTY" who's a genius ONLY in her own dumb bleached blond mind and truly knows nothing about anything and is really a nobody; she loves giving advice to everyone but needs to work on her own head instead of getting a tattoo or piercing everytime she has a problem.
She's been around the block a few times(if you know what I mean).
Maybe she thinks that sleeping around makes you intelligent, but it only makes your body loose like a goose and don't forget about the STDs, no wonder she doesn't get infections with all the piercings and tattoos...she's on constant antibiotic treatment.
So do the right thing and don't follow an ignorant airhead like "FITOFHONESTY"
And that "NYMPHETA" above, another fool where did she get her medical degree? yellow-white pus is good? and it's only lymph...what an idiot! This one is probably infected through and through! Smells like "FETA" cheese!!!

It probably isn't an infection, but just a keloid. This is pretty common with piercings and can be taken care of, if you follow simple cleaning procedures. First of all, don't take out the piercing. If it isn't fully healed, it'll just close up the bacteria inside and cause a bigger mess. You're gonna want to go to the store and get some sea salt. You'll mix the salt into a little shot class of warm water and soak your piercing for about 10 minutes everyday. Don't play, poke, prod the keloid. Don't touch the piercing except during cleanings. If you follow these instructions, the keloid will go away and you won't even have to worry about it.

Under NO circumstances should you put Neosporin, alcohol, or peroxide on it.

Ok, ignore all of the 'infection' comments, especially the one from the so called doctor. From what you describe, it's not an infection. Infections will be sore, red, inflamed and most likely have greenish pus (not yellowish-white - that's normal lymph)

You didn't mention anything about fluid in it, so it does sound like a bit of scar tissue. Don't squeeze it. You need to make sure that nothing is irritating the piercing. Make sure you've got good quality jewelry (what you were pierced with will most likely be high quality). Don't use peroxide or tea tree oil or anything other than sea salt solution (saline) on it. All of those products will cause further irritation and promote scars. (that's why we tell people to put peroxide on scarification pieces - to build scar tissue)

Do hot compresses 2-3 times a day (dip gauze in your hot sea salt solution and gently hold it on the piercing) Do not touch it otherwise.

If you can, take a trip to your piercer, he/she will be able to better tell you what the problem after seeing it.

DO NOT take the ring/bar out. If it IS infected, that's one of the worst things you can do, despite what that "Doctor" said earlier.

You should leave it alone, don't try squeezing it or poking at it. It's probably just a keloid, which sometimes happens with fresh piercings. (It happened with my bellybutton both times I had it pierced, mine went away with time.) I'd suggest going back to your piercer and asking what you should do for it. It's probably NOT an infection, as if it were you'd have other symptoms such as irritation, soreness or redness.
Goto your piercer again, but keep cleaning it really well. Also trying what "the quiet one" suggested might help.

okay basically it's become infected when dried cells scratched the lining of the interior of your piercing. Do not try to pop or poke it! what you need to do is fill a shot glass with water and put in 1 tsp of sea salt ( available at grocery stores) and mix. Put this on your navel once a day for ten minutes. It should clear and heal within 2 weeks if it doesn't contact a doctor you may require antibiotics.

you're in no way meant to do away with jewelry in case you have self assurance an infection. as quickly as you accomplish that, the hollow closes up, leaving the an infection nevertheless interior. you may attempt to bathe the jewellery and re insert it. keep in mind that abdomen button piercings are very demanding to heal. you will might desire to positioned on loose clothing and keep away from touching it with unwashed palms or coping with very frequently. do no longer swim, and so on. with the intention to heal the an infection, the perfect ingredient to apply is undemanding unscented Dial cleansing soap, works for each piercing i've got ever had (additionally heals industrials super quickly!) wash three times an afternoon with the cleansing soap and wait and notice. i might propose seeing the piercer and seeing what he/she has to assert. If in any respect attainable, a physician's circulate to would be in basic terms high quality, frequently that they had supply you antibiotics to help the therapeutic technique. wish this facilitates!
