Take lots of pictures, you'll treasure them years from now. Call often, but also write letters that say how you feel. You'll also treasure them years from now. Communicate clearly. Laugh...and cry together. You both have hands and legs and brains. Don't expect him to always mow the grass, fix the toilet, or kill the spider. Don't expect her to always cook your meals, wash the sheets, or clean the cat litter. But most important...don't throw away his old nasty college football t-shirt, and PLEASE...put the toilet seat down!

Marriage, especially a military marriage, is not a 50/50 proposition on a daily basis. Sometimes she'll carry all the responsibility for keeping the relationship going and sometimes he will. It's only looking back from 50 or 60 years that it averages out to an equal distribution.

Marriage is not a 50/50 situation. Give 100% so that if you fall short you are still doing a lot.
I am too sleepy to be that eloquent. It's like in school....don't shoot for a C. Shoot for an A,so that if you fall short, you're still in a good place.
You know, the little I know about you tells me that anything YOU say to them will be important. You appear to be a stable,NICE man with a value system and a healthy marriage.
