Your diet may not have to change (but it would probably help) but you should increase your activity level - a lot. Don't make drastic, harsh changes, walk more, eat less sugar, fat, salt, etc.

Dont eat until you're full
Eat fruits at night if your hungry.

Seriously though, I lost 40 lbs on a tuna fish and water diet.
I wouldn't recommend it, and it took longer than what you want.
