Awww! That sounds so sweet, and no, I wouldn't be scared off. Go for it!
Maybe even try getting her a birthstone ring, as that's slightly more personal.

She would b scared if u called it friendship ring cause that can set her mind off thinking he wants to break up but stay friends. If u want u can buy the ring but call it differently like Passion ring or Love ring or sometinhg. But u know value of gifts doesnt show love to a womans heart. If i were u i would tell her personally what i felt and talk it through with her face to face conversations always work.

I think that they are a bit tacky, no offence meant in that at all. Why don't you buy her a bracelet or necklace or even just a simple ring with something special engraved on the inside. If you've been together for a year then she must have some pretty strong feelings for you.

Hey Jackie.........Think its a great idea. Back in the day we had promise rings. Obviously in this day and age if you have been together for a year, you mean something to each other. Good luck!

ehh maybe not a friendship ring b/c thats kinda like saying "lets be friends" not saying "i love you and want to be with you forever"
the idea of a ring is cute though but either pick out a different ring or change the name when you give it to her. good luck

Yes, I'd be scared.
Why not getting her a friendship necklace instead? lol
No, seriously, if she hasn't discussed anything about the future and that she might take it the wrong way if you give her a ring.

No i wouldn't run. It's hard to find a true man theses days. But no one you GF like you. If she say's he love you then go for it. Just make sure she understand that it's a friendship ring are promise. if you lose her then........

Oh I think it's cute. Especially if you've been going out with her for a year! The birthstone idea is good. Or if you know of any stones that she particularly likes (color wise or w.e.)

if you get the sense she feels the same way -maybe subtly ask her or something!, then go for it- with the ring, so sweet, its a shame the blokes I meet pail in comparison to such beautifuly thought out ideas such as these.
