ok so i've known this guy for a couple years now. we've never been close friends just would see each other a few times a year like on school breaks. he's 2 years older then me. a couple weekends ago i met up with some friends and he was with them. he's a really nice guy and we've recently started talking to each other more. we were talking the other day and he told me that we should "go catch a movie sometime" and today he swung by where i worked to say hi on his break. and then he told me he would call me sometime in the next week so we could do something. he's a really friendly guy so its hard to tell. is in interested in me or just wanting to be friends?

All relationships start out as friends. He obviously likes you or he wouldn't have gone to all the trouble of looking you up at work. Just go along and have some fun without getting too serious about everything up front.

I say that he's interested in you. Guys don't just do ask someone to "go catch a movie" to be friends. he probably likes you and wants to get to know u better so that you can date.
