When i turn my mp3 on it only blinks on and off and i dont know what can be wrong any sujestions?

I will turn it on and the regurl light shows up but the wording dose not, and the light will go off and on over and over again

Maybe the "Hold" Function is "on"?

whts the model and brand, try formatting it or reseting it, unless the battery is dead then charge it, plug it into usb and see if it turns on then
