Personally I don't believe in the existence of God and such. However, it is undeniable to not acknowledge that some things can not be explained by science or the laws of physics. By opening your mind to all things that happen around you, you let yourself be complete.
So to answer your question, learning something new is always revealing to the world around you. However, limiting yourself to ONLY one from of belief is blinding. I guess if you have BLIND faith thats fairly blinding. But if you have faith that there is a God out there or some form of higher power, but don't know which and are open to the idea that anything in this world and beyond is possible then it is rather revealing.

The key word of deception is BELIEF. It means to accept things as true but not to truly know thus opinions are bred and this is ignorance.
Belief is the basis for any religion and because people easily accept things that sound nice/ right to them, they become lazy to do any real research and so depend on their ministers, priests, imams, shaikhs etc. to give them the answer and they become 'blinded' to the truth. And anytime something contradicts their belief or scriptures, they IGNORE it because of belief which breeds IGNORANCE.

unquestionably. faith is a few thing which could no longer be proved or disproved, there are not any demanding data, no evidence. What could be disproved is the "technology" contained interior of them - Genesis as an occasion for sure makes the bible look like a paintings of fiction. it extremely is a smart device for controlling the many times uneducated plenty that persist with them. arguable factor yet i might probability of venture that the time-honored public of followers don't have a school point training. it extremely is very actual of Islam the place many followers ought to examine the Koran yet no longer the rest. Over hundreds of years it extremely is prevalent by the hundreds and no-one dares question the status quo. history is stricken by examples of dictatorial regimes that have created their very own "faith" with the intention to regulate their populations, look at North Korea immediately.

It depends on the form that the faith takes. To some, religion is a journey where one learns about oneself. To others it is merely a set of rules they must follow.
I take the former position and think that my faith leads me to question and learn and be a better me.

...No. If you believe what is true, and in Him who is true, there is no deception.
...What men and women do is suppress the truth they have from God, and then follow all kinds of sinful behavior; observe Romans 1:
...18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
...19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
...20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
...21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
...22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
...23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
...24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
...25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

I am an Atheist
And I believe people choose to believe in religion because the truth of life is actually very cruel, and we must feel our existence is based on something meaningful,...so the only answer is religion.
I choose Atheism because as much as I want the comfort of "God", I believe I have a greater responsibility to follow the truth, as I honestly believe it
