1 Corinthians 5:4 When you are assembled in the name of the Lord Jesus and my (Paul's) spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5 you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 12:2 I know a man (Paul) in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven--whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows. 3 And I know that this man was caught up into paradise--whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows-- 4 and he heard things that cannot be told, which man may not utter.

That's a very interesting question and your point is well made. However, the verses you are quoting say that Paul was "caught up" and "whether in the body or away from it" he couldn't say. I believe this makes it clear that Paul did not bring this "trip" about himself. It was a holy and supernatural act of God. Paul was an Apostle which means he was specially anointed by God. He had many supernatural experiences. If you've read all of his writings you'll see other things that happened that he could not have possibly pulled off himself. In fact, those things are still going on today in the lives of Christians who ernestly seek God. I've had things happen in my life that I couldn't have done myself and it's an overwhelming feeling knowing that God is so interactive in our lives when we ask Him to be.

The real you, is a progressive spirit; " be ye ( eventually) perfect " living within the confines of a material body.
Paul's spirit was detached from his body and caught up to the third Mansion, World or Heaven, while he was asleep; this is why he did not know whether he was in, or out of his body. He said his spirit was present- not his body. What he witnessed while in this wonderful place eventually became add- mixed and confused with what he was brought up to believe during his life. Mithra ism and Zoroastrianism.
Paul wrote his own viewpoints... keep in mind that Mithraism was the dominant religion of Tarsus during his adolescence. Paul little dreamed that his well-intentioned letters to his converts would someday be regarded by still later Christians as the " word of God," Such well-meaning teachers must not be held accountable for the improper use made of their writings by later-day successors.
Paul did many things, for the good of Christianity; we are the ones who have distorted, misunderstood and improperly defined its context. (his teachings.)
Nuwaubian Moors- to say that Paul is a liar reflects poorly on your knowledge of history and your character.
Peace..........

I've never heard of astral projection.
The beginning of I Cor. 5, is talking about a man who is guilty of sexual immorality (sleeping with his step-mother). Paul said, "Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit." v. 3 I don't believe that means anything supernatural at all-just that he would like to be there and his influence is still there. He recommended that the person being discussed be not allowed in the church until he changed his ways.
The second passage sounds like a vision, but it seemed so real, Paul wasn't sure whether it was really a vision or not.

Paul was a liar and he admitted in Romans 3:7 plus he's the one responsible for bringing the present form of Christianity which has a different doctrine from christ himself. His words can't be trusted nor be considered divine and should not even be in the scriptures.

you oftentimes bypass OOB (out of body) once you're dozing. problem is, you do not bear in options it. So if Christianity is "adverse to it" - to undesirable, because that's a organic issue that each body does. There are some those that not in any respect bear in options their aims in color, yet that does no longer recommend human beings do not dream in color. :) And to those who say that's of devil and also you do not or are not meant to have "potential" Jesus differs with you: Matthew 21:21 "And Jesus replied and suggested to them, "particularly I say to you, once you've faith and do not doubt, you received't in undemanding words do what replaced into finished to the fig tree, yet in spite of in case you say to this mountain, 'Be taken up and forged into the sea,' that's going to ensue."

No. Paul certainly had contact with God and did what he was called to do. He was to spread the Christian faith by teaching it.

He may have thought so ! but he was deluded in my book probably one of the first classic cases of grandiose delusion.
"Oh god has spoken to me and now I'm glowing with the truth!
damn those homo's!" this was not a paid politico-religious message from Paul of Tarsus .
