In another question, someone said, "We are already destined for hell, but it is Jesus love that saves us from this doom."

I think we should remember that it was God who created hell (or, being all powerful and all knowing, allowed it to be created, meaning he is ultimately responsible for the existence of hell). So why would God send Jesus to save us from something he created himself?

Furthermore, why would an all-loving God send us to hell by default? If God really wanted to send us all to heaven, he could do that. He's all powerful. There is absolutely nothing stopping him from sending all people to heaven.

So, where is the logic in this god who is both willing and able to send us to heaven, but chooses not to, simply because of our beliefs? So much for free will. If I were able to send every human to heaven, I would do it at the drop of a hat, and I'm sure you would too. So why won't God do it?

kj7gs: Your statement that "God would be completely righteous in condemning the entire world to Hell" is the final nail in the coffin. I could never worship a being that would create imperfect humans, then punish them for being imperfect.

Short answer: Because he isnt there.

There are many logical fallacies that essential disprove the god of the three monotheistic pillar religions. Is a god possible? Yes, anything is potential possible, but an all powerful AND all loving god is not... as there would be no suffering because no loving parent would force a child to suffer if it could be prevented, thus, either gods power is not absolute, or he doesn't love us.

Also, if god is all good, and no evil... he could not have created hell, as hell is essentially evil, and if he is truly all good, he would be all forgiving, thus negating a need for hell.

God of the bible=Egomaniacle megolomaniac (read the OT)
God of the Torrah=Same God
God of the Koran=Same God again

You're absolutely right, why would God send Jesus to save us from something he created himself? The answer is that we don't know why he would do that, especially when we all stand condemned before him. It would take a lot of love that we don't understand.

Now, your other premise about an all-loving God is in error. If you are going to quote the "all-loving" God of John 3:16, then you need to quote John 3:18 along with it, and the "world" two verses ago suddenly gets a little smaller -- meaning his elect are the ones he loves. Jesus knows his sheep, and his sheep know him. And yes, it's a hard thing for most Christians to hear, but God does not love the unregenerate. They are left in their sins, and God is glorified in the punishment of the wicked.

You're correct in your next premise, Jesus did have the capability to atone for the sins of the both regenerate and the unregenerate. But you're forgetting that God would be completely righteous in condemning the entire world to Hell. He very nearly did that with the flood, and Malachi 4:6 reflects a threat that he could very easily carry out, and be glorified in doing so.

Your comments about being willing to send every human to heaven is your perception of the righteousness of man, whereas God's holiness demands justice that he should by all rights be carrying out. In other words, don't get too proud, God owes you nothing.

Christians would tell you, because God want you to want to go to heaven and to love him because you love him. But what I don't get is why did he create us then? Why would he force us to love him by saying we will burn in hell if we don't?
And force us to worship him in trade for everlasting life?
What if we didn't want everlasting life or want to go to heaven, what if earth is where we want to stay, because we don't fall on our knees are we then damned to hell and world punish and to burn forever in the lakes of fire?
How very sad and sick, ill and crazy that is!
God is not real and I really wish people would open their hearts and stop being weak and accept this fact.

Hell is a handbasket and we're all in it. But that doesn't mean we're going there. I have often pondered your very same question myself. The idea of hell could not exist without the idea of God.

I'm not sure who told you this. Is it some new age church or something. Hell is not a real place in my mind. It is only created in your mind on earth. Positivity only will help you on earth!

Frankly speaking, this Q is very elementary. I suggest you to read the OT, the first a few pages will do, not necessarily the whole book (I am not a Christian. I have never read the whole OT)
