I was able to see a movie way back 1992. I just forgot the title of it.In that movie, the lover of the woman gave a gift to her and put it to her ankle. it was a nice gold anklet. The guy said, " you are deserving to wear this one for you already have travelled around the world". Is wearing an anklet signifies of being a globe trotter?

I have given a very nice anklet to a girlfriend on her birthday.
She was one to enjoy polishing her toe nails, which I thought was very sexy. The simple, gold anklet made a very nice addition to that part of her body and I'd hardly see her without it from that day on.

I don't believe it has any negative significance, like suggested in the other posts, and is simply an attractive piece of jewelery to enhance the beauty of an already attractive young lady.

Not sure about that, but when I was younger, women who wore anklets were considered "easy".
I doubt it has the same meaning today.... does it?

Wore one for about 15 years and never heard it meant anything. Must be something new - like maybe you're normal.

I don't think so. Some times best friends exchange them. And my dad gave my mom one when they were like 16.
