I know this has probably happened a while ago but it just came to my attention. Well for those who don't know Veggie tales is a christian cartoon geared to kids, and it is centered around teaching kids about god and conveying such a message. Well NBC was going to let the show air on it's network, but Veggie tales had to agree to take the god part out. Now if NBC was censoring anything else like gay marriage (which I do support) how different would it be? What if they were censoring anything else. What makes God so taboo and EVERYTHING else ok.

It's called ratings and the almighty $$. They are afraid Veggie Tales will cause those people of other religions to not watch their station.

They will never stop talking about homosexuality or gay marriage. Both issues will always have high ratings. Even those verymuch against both will watch it just to complain about it. But, as long as people are watching, they don't care.

Remember, in the entertainment industry no PR is worse than bad PR. Like Brad Paisley's Celebrity song says when talking about tabloids. The more they are talked about, the more their price goes up.

Because gay marriage is considered to be open minded God is not. It's a simple as that. If they say that there is God and that God is Jehovah then they are saying that there are rules and truths that are present as well, now that just don't sound very open minded does it? So take out God and keep the sillyness. Honestly Veggie-Tales w/o God...what would Bob say at the end..."You are special and loved very much." Instead of his normal, "God made you special and He loves you very much." If Veggie Tales knows they are doing this and are still going along they are sell outs. Basicly though...Gay Marriage=Open Minded, God=Closed mind

Veggie thoughts are what i might evaluate Judeo-Christian. ninety% of their movies are with regard to the old testomony. i'm able to in basic terms think of of two episodes (Christmas and Easter) the place Jesus is quite and actually under pressure. they have a philosophy on in no way depicting Jesus as a vegetable. so because it quite is why they are thoughts from the old testomony.

well, i think that religion is a touchy subject, but i think it is wrong that that is censored and thee isnt much of an uproar from it, when if something else thats non religion would cause an uproar if it were banned, but i think that since christyians are not the ones to be descriminated against much at all, i think that it is not exactly bashing them as opposed to a group that doesnt exactly have as much equality in society as christians do.

NBC didn't have to censor it; they chose to in order to appeal to a larger audience. It's all part of making money.

NBC is all about the money and they are not the TV channel that I will chose...I like God and I like freedom of speech.

So long NBC. NBC's loss. (Their ratings have been going south for a long time. They just don't get it.)

Veggie tales is scary. It inaccurately depicts Bible stories. I mean in the story of Jerico, the cucumber doesn't kill everyone and every animal in the city, nor does he rape women or plunder gold and silver.

There are still many good messages to be taken from the show. So I'll take it for that.

Dude, I won't watch NBC because they ran it anyway. I would rather my kids watch Discovery Channel than that, (and they do).
