Did you know what the word mythology means? All religion has mythology. Its the story behind it. It doesn't mean that story is fake. It refers to the way the story is told.

That there are many different opinons on the character of God, only indicates 2 things:
1. It is obvious to anyone who opens their eyes that there is some sort of God, and:
2. We can't agree on who he is.

Someone IS right; my God has proven himself to me, and he wants me to tell you that he loves you too.

Before the yelling starts, mythology simply means a set of stories and legends of particular significance, usually religious, of a culture. Use of the word mythology implies neither truth nor fallacy anymore than use of the term scientific theory does. I still expect some rather silly responses but from a country that can't even use whom anymore, what can you expect.

You know when you go to a book store, and there are different sections. Christianity is always under religion. Then most of the time there is a combination New Age/Supernatural section. That's where you'll find all the books on the Pagan religions. I know I should shrug it off, but it pisses me off everytime.

The implication in many people's minds, however, is that a myth is something false or "made up." That's what people object to if they're unfamiliar with the actual definition of the term.

They think that you are calling their religion fake.
