If you're asking about eating it raw, from the package with out cooking it, then there is a SLIGHT chance you may get salmonella (from the raw eggs). So always cook the cookie dough and you'll be ok.

I have eaten cookie dough ever since I can remember, and I am 40. I have never gotten sick. I recently saw in a parenting magazine, on a "How Safe is our Food" article that up to 40% of raw eggs have active salmonella.

Well, pretty low, actually. However, the chance is always there. If the dough is old, don't eat it. The same is true if it has been setting out for a while and then refrozen. The symptoms of salmonella mimic the stomach flu, but then you begin to run a fever and have severe diarrhea and vomiting.

Very low risk.
You probably get more harmless bacteria from objects you touch every day like your cell phone or computer key. (NOT pathogens like Salmonella )
