there is the girl who is a sophmore and i am a senior. i want to ask her to prom, and my friend told me i should. we have gotten to know each other a lot since i drive her to school everyday. I have liked her for about a month now. although i am going to college this fall should i ask her out? i will be attending a University that is only 2.5 hours away from home. so i can come home anytime. we are alike in so many ways and sometimes say the same things at the same time, and agree on everything. i told her about the conversation i had with my friend, and she got a bright look on her face to find out what i said.should i take her to prom? and should i ask her out someday soon? I am also taking her flying one day soon, should i take her out to eat also?

I'm pretty sure she already knows what you know, that is about the facts you have written here..saying things at the same time , etc., and she prob already knows you like each other as friends. After all she is getting I the car with you.! lol...next time you drive her to school just casually ask her is she has been asked to the prom(do not use the word YET) if she says "No" then say "lets go together, it will be fun" and if you see someone you might want to dance with feel free to dance with them and we'll have fun!" Be very careful the kinds of things you say to her in between. Do not under any circumstance tell her how you "feel" about her or show emotion if she declines your offer to go to the prom. Just keep doing what your doing and when you want to go do something or go somewhere, then tell her you're going to do it and say "come with me" or "how about coming with me"; something that shows and tells her that you have a life and are confident with doing things and all with or without her. she will understand and if she likes you, wants to be with or around you and likes your company, she will go most of the time if she has the time. Do NOT ask for her permission as in "would you like to go_____?" (with me) (here or there?) anything that will not give a response of a direct yes or no all the time. sort of tell her to come along if she wants.

Why not ask "your friend" out. Seems ya'll already get along good, since ya'll share a ride to school everyday. Seems you both are ready for the next step-dating.
Though you have plans of attending College, doesn't mean you can't have a long distance relationship. I'm sure besides college, you will be working (which you may already be working now), and having a friend will be great. That will be your "relaxation". Everyone should have fun and have a friend to share this fun with.
Seems you have mentally thought out your plans for this young lady, BUT, you just haven't taken the step to commit just yet. Ask her out and enjoy yourselves. Just follow your heart and continue to be her friend. AND if things happen to not work out, be thankful for the times you have already spent together.

If you want to explain why you haven't asked her up to now (cause she might think you asked someone else) I can't help you. However, if you ask her what color corsage you should get her, she'll get the idea real quick. If she's smart, she'll laugh and say something like, Don't you think you should ask me to go, first?"

That's when you confess that that is exactly what you are doing, but the flower thing also has you worried. Then you tell her you don't know if the flower's are suppose to match her eyes or her gown.

She'll be so happy by then she'll let you off the hook.

as i girl, i can tell you from experience that it's definently better for you to ask her. think about it: you're older, it's your SENIOR prom, you two are close, and in the end, even if nothing happens, at least you can stay friends. as for the flying and eating, it sounds like tons of fun, but you have to remember not to rush it all. doing everything in a day may be too much; try advancing your relationship slowly; you guys will definently get there :]

You can ask her to go flying with you but you can't ask her to the prom? Boy! That's some prom!!! Look, the next time you're hanging out, ask her if she would like to go the prom with you. Sounds like she's waiting for you to ask. Hey... if she's willing to put her life in your hands and go flying with you, I don't think she'll have a problem risking her feet dancing with you. LOL! Enjoy yourself! And congratulations on getting accepted to college!

Dude, this sounds like a love story to me, just ask her out, cus if she turned bright i think that shows that she likes you also. So just ask her to the prom or you might loose her. And yes ask her out after prom or something. And if she is like me, it doesn't matter if you take her out to eat or not.

Ask her! She's probably waiting for you to ask and wondering if you ever will. I'd ask her as soon as possible so she has enough time to get ready - buy a dress, etc.
And, yes, if you have plans to go flying, ask if she'd be intrested in dinner and dessert. You can never go wrong w/ chocolate.
Good luck.

uh. ask her. if she says no its not like you lose anything. i mean, heck, youre not going to be there forever. and if you dont do it, youll regret it! when you take her out flying, make sure she eats afterwards. you dont want to waste money at a restaurant which will only end up in a barf bag!

She sounds like the perfect prom date for you, because you would be comfortable in her company. Ask her.
