Got "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)" error message when i try to move my avi and iso file form 1 HD to another. but the files are still useable. still can watch the video. anyway to fix this problem ? or move the file ?

Sounds like your destination HD has a problem (bad sectors, possibly physically unreadable areas) and needs a scandisk check. Chance are the avi file is just large enough so that you encounter them.

It's a remote possibility that your interface cable connecting the two drives is loose or bad, but 19 times out of 20, it's the HD itself.

Try copying the file to a different folder on your source HD, just to make sure the CRC error isn't on that drive. Then run scandisk on both drives to eliminate any disk errors before copying any other large files.

Try going to DOS and type in
xcopy /c filename destination. "/c" flag will keep going, despite errors.
