search for 'freethinkers' in your area. that's the preferred term to groups who organize around the anti-religion idea. ('freethinker' basically means 'athiest'. 'humanist' is another popular term)
you'll be lucky if you can find a large organized group, unless you live in a major metropolis. we tend to be less power-motivated than the other guys.

i think of they're against gay marriage using fact they suspect what the bible says, to the letter... and the bible says that homosexuality is incorrect. To fight against a group who are calling themselves Christian would be to put yourself at the same level you think of them. Be creative and don't fight against anything.
Just be more sucessful than the folks you don't want in a certain position.
