What stores do you recommend for buying men's clothing that is made well and is inexpensive? Some department stores have great prices but quality is an problem (more with the cut of the clothes than with the material, but material can be weird also). For some reason, I can never find clothes that fit right at Kohl's, but I've had better success with Sam's Club. I'm just looking for mainstays: jeans, cordoroy pants, oxfords, sweaters; nothing really trendy. Where do you typically have success buying men's clothes?

Maybe I'm unusually active, but I wear out clothes quite fully. Sometimes, the more expensive clothing (Banana Republic, J. Crew) has proved to be the most delicate. I'm looking for strong stitching and normal or forgiving cuts (for a man, I have a butt that really sticks out even though I'm slender otherwise). Anything else spring to mind for people?

When clothes fit well, they won't wear out as much.

Sometimes, you just have to find a brand and stick with it. I've worn Levi's 501's for a long , long, time.

For men's shoes, I'd try Clarks of England. You can find them at J. Stephen's shoes.

Cordory pants are cheap and are going to wear out fast. If you really want to wear them regularly, you'll need to replace seasonally.

The only sweaters that will last are wool or wool blends and those are usually expensive. They are something that you will need to take to the cleaners because most you cannot wash.

Men have one advantage over women in clothing overall - we can buy things that usually stay in fashion longer. So I suggest, if your size does not waiver - through health and diet - that you find what your true size is then this will give you flexibility especially when buying on-line. Go to a tailor.

1) Don't be cheap - again what you buy, if taken care of, will last a long time.

2) Don't be too trendy or fashionable - Style is what counts. Jack Nicholson still wears the Wayfarers regardless of fashion and still looks cool.

Sweaters - buy a nice Merino and/or cashmere classic crew and v neck in a few standard colors. Not cheap, but worth it and timeless and will last forever. Don't go Bill Cosby bro - take er easy. J. Crew, Nordstroms, Macy's - never be afraid to ask a clerk to help.

Shoes - Never go cheap - you should be able to resole till the shoes physically fall apart. Florscheim, Nordstrom are great places. Save the Ferragamos for a rainy day.

Jeans - man what can be more classic than a pair of well worn Levis that - FIT - or any well made pair of jeans. Know your leg style and what looks good on you. Forget the low rise Diesel if they look goofy. I suggest any major department store or catalog and/or on-line store.

My suggestion over all is stay away from the Kohl's or Sam Clubs and splurge a little. You get what you pay for dude.

don't be fooled by clothier labels-no longer each and every person seems stable in each and every variety. men's Wearhouse or ok&B are great possibilities. Sears has replaced dramatically in the previous couple of years and characteristic great revenues continuously. in case you are able to wait a pair of weeks---Columbus Day weekend (and President's Day in Feb.) are the very perfect situations to clothing shop everywhere in the rustic. end of season & inventory transformations make for 60-seventy 5% off revenues. attempt on alot of suits at a Macy's to nicely known your type. Oh yeah, in case you are able to in basic terms get one journey, choose for military blue.

Old Navy and Burlington Coat Factory are pretty cool. Even Walmart in some instances. But definitely Old Navy...check out the site!

My husband is really tall. We have trouble finding clothes for him, too. We like Old Navy and JC Penney. The clothes are pretty good quality and not too expensive. There are lots of 2 for 1 deals at both stores.
