Hi,
3 docs overlooked this infection but now(on my own) found out I have Pseudomonas Sp. from a stool sample. I have low back pain, head, and eye pain, swollen neck glands and dark urine.
What would be the treament and can anyone help with more info on this.
Thanks, Sue

Pseudamonas is typically sensitive to the ciprofloxacin-type drugs. Sensitivity testing in the lab may be needed.

Pseudomonas is a common cause of surgical site infections. It is often resistant to many antibiotics, so sensitivity testing will need to be done. I would be concerned as well about the swollen neck glands and dark urine. If your docotors are not working this problem up you should seek a second opinion.

Antibiotics , this bug should be cultured to find which is best or effective. This is a hard one to get rid of so have it cultured for sensitivity. And may have to get re tested after completing meds. Also carefull you don't pass it on to family members. Good work in finding it.
