I think a lot could have with the proper training especially some of the smaller guys. Rey Mysterio Jr. or Tajiri could have tore up some of the lighter divisions and Rick Rude and Dr. Death Steve Williams would have done well. There was a wrestler named Steve Blackman and another named Sean O Hare who had some success in other fighting styles too. (Sean O Hare got owned by Butterbean in a Pride Fighting match however) I also think Brock Lesnar or Goldberg could have ended up in the mixed martial arts or boxing field if they channelled their energies in that direction.

none at all ever been boxers in real life they are ex-football althletes
Check the tape and you'll see that neither fighter is using
a MOUTHPIECE. This is undisputable proof that the
whole thing was just another a dance choreographed by
McMahon.
A pro like Butterbean would NEVER go into a ring without
a mouthpiece if it were a real fight. He would NOT risk
having his teeth knocked out for some stupid PPV event.
He knew he wasn't going to get hit. It wasn't a real fight, it
was as phony as his previous fight. He got paid for about
one minute's worth of play-acting. An easy paycheck.
The alleged "knock-out" punch was thrown with ultra-padded
gloves. And Gunn over-acted so much it was ridicuous. He
acted like he was shot by a cannon. Laughable!
Not using a mouthpiece means you were hired for movie,
not a fight, remember that. His trainers and managers
would never allow him to REALLY fight without a mouthpiece.
That would be financial suicide since if he got hurt, it would
hurt his real career as a boxing elephant. He wouldn't be able
to fight in any "real" boxing matches -- and he was already
Butterbean 66-3 (4 KOs)fastest knockout 8 seconds
David Tua 41-3 (36 KOs)fastest knockout 46 seconds
they are both great boxers but hay dont kid your self david tua beating butter bean i hope one day they both get into the ring

Hey Ric.
I've gotten into this debate over beers with my buddies a few times. This is what we decided.
Pro Wrestlers are tremendous athletes. These guys are 6'+ they are 250+ and they are doing flips, jumps etc. We all know it is fake, but these guys are very agile and graceful for their size.
We decided, however, that this fact does not necessarily mean that they would be good at boxing or football.
It takes an entirely different skill set to excel in boxing and football. Notice the build that boxers have. The one that is all cut up loses as often as he wins. Alot of boxing is endurance, hand speed length and technique that takes years to master.
Similarly, football takes a special skill set along with crazy speed.
So to answer question, they could do it, and some do, but they are almost always bad at their crossover sport.

A few years back Lennox Lewis fought Randy macho man Savage in from what i can remember was a three rouned bout for charity in england. Neither of them were taking it that seriously but it became obvious early on that Savage had no boxing skills whatsoever which made it really funny as he was basically windmilling for the full three rounds. I suppose some wrestlers could have been good at boxing, but i don't think that being a good wrestler would nessesarily mean you would have the right skills to be good at boxing.

I dont think so ric. I agree wrestlers are good athletes, but there are a lot of sports that have good athletes and they dont belong in a boxing ring. I mean anyone can train from a young guy and have a shot. But to change a wrestler into a boxer. No way. It takes more than just being a good athlete to step into the ring and be championship caliber.

Generally, no. If you'll recall, WWE(F) held a Tough Man competition which culminated in Bart Gunn getting knocked out by Butterbean in 30 seconds. Bart Gunn "won" the WWE(F) portion of the competition.
Butterbean wouldn't last 3 rounds with Tua.

No, but I bet a lot of them could beat a lot of boxers in a street fight. A champion pugilist is like an artist, best of the best, just because your a a tough bastard does not mean you could be a pro boxer. It's like Tua compared to the Rock, the Rock is prabably bigger and stronger, but no doubt Tua hits harder and Tua's got that big *** head, you need to hit him with an anvil to KO him. I believe being able to hit like that takes a certain gift, like being able to throw a 90mph fastball, sometimes these uys are throwing 95mph and there not even that big of guys, but they just have that gift. I tend to believe ultimately people figure out what sport best suits them.
