normal, natural and healthy???for 2 men or 2 women to have sex with each other??? disgusting!!!! only a practicing homo would agree to a comment like that! it is a sickening as humans having sex with animals or adults raping babies!!!abomination is a very good word for it.
the reason that it is becoming an accepted practice is because GOD has blinded them, giving them strong delusion to believe a lie. HE has given them over to the lusts of their hearts because they rejected HIM.

The cause of homosexuality is the same as the cause of heterosexuality: you're in the mood and you go pick someone up for a little fun.
The cure for homosexuality is the same as the cure for heterosexuality: the more the merrier!
God has more important things to worry about than what adults are doing with other adults behind closed doors, IMHO.

Although a Christian, I don't believe in bashing homosexuals. Jesus explained to the disciples that some (homosexuals) were made that way and some were born that way but very great would be their reward in Heaven if they overcame the impulse to engage in homosexual sex. Everyone has a cross to bear. Jesus also said, "Take up your cross and follow me".
I believe that everyone's "cross" is as troublesome to them as everyone else's is. What it all boils down to is, no matter what your burden is, surrendering it to God and allowing Him to do for us what we can't do for ourselves. It is the test of our faith. Those who can't/won't hand it over and refrain from engaging in whatever behavior is their particular burden fail the test of faith. I am not an apologist. If God said it, I believe it but that doesn't mean that we should lack compassion even while unable to condone or validate someone's behavior when it's specifically addressed in Scripture as wrong. We can't blame God for the things of this world. It is not His desire that anyone be born with any defects or diseases, etc. These things exist because of the kind of world we were given free will to create. If God was responsible for everything that happens on Earth we would be living in paradise. As of now, it is still Satan's domain - at least until the second coming.

If it's a religion that doesn't condemn homosexuality anywhere in its literature (and my religion is one of many that fit such a description), then the answer is pretty simple.
As for a "cause", I don't really care. As for a "cure", you'll have to first convince me that it's a problem.

There is no reconciliation. Either one believes the biblical position on the subject of practicing Homosexuality and follows suit, or they scoff and ignore it.
I am a Christian, and have an aquaintence/friend who is very openly gay. He is a very nice person and I respect him.
He is in error in my opinion and in need of the same Saving Grace that I enjoy in my life.

Yes and Jimmy Swaggart is the authority on morality????????
Hmmm, hypocrisy seems to be a little more relevant when even mentioning him. It's not a disease, it is the way someone is born. How can someone cure you of heterosexuality? If you are indeed hetero...............

I am a person of faith and have had to struggle with this question.
I think that the answer is that the Bible tells me that I shouldn't engage in homosexual behavior, so I don't. I consider it sinful behavior. I don't judge those who engage in it. I note that they engage in sinful acts, but it is for God to judge. We all commit sinful acts. It is for us to show other sinners the love of God, so someday they will embrace the law of God. I don't shove the law of God in their faces, nor do I inflict judgement on them. It's not my place. If they want to hear about God, I tell them, if not, I don't.

Who cares what "God" has to say about it? The REAL psychological authorities have been telling us for 4 decades that it's normal, natural and healthy.
It's not a "condition". It doesn't need to be "cured" because it's not an affliction. Get your head into the 21st century and out of the ignorant past.

you would have to rewrite the bible or form a new religion apart form the present teachings from the "good" book.
I'm not one to accept homosexuality as less than deviant but still you don't condemn the cripple because he was born without good legs...!

Romans 1:24-32
24 Therefore God, in keeping with the desires of their hearts, gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might be dishonored among them, 25 even those who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27 and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.
28 And just as they did not approve of holding God in accurate knowledge, God gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting, 29 filled as they were with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, badness, being full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malicious disposition, being whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, insolent, haughty, self-assuming, inventors of injurious things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, false to agreements, having no natural affection, merciless. 32 Although these know full well the righteous decree of God, that those practicing such things are deserving of death, they not only keep on doing them but also consent with those practicing them.
