well i think that she's just shy to you, i mean hey, look, she calls you twice a week to say hello, and she makes excuses when you ask her out, well i think she likes you, but i really think that she's very shy to you,!

Maybe what you are calling an excuse is a legitimate reason for not going out with you. Let her know you are available and if/when she wants to go out for something non-committal, possibly not actually calling it a date, but just share some time... ask her to let you know. If she's interested, she may someday call you...or email you. If not... she isn't interested, so move on.

MAYBE she like you and is playing HARD to GET..STOP asking her OUT...see what happens when you stop asking her out...if she doesn't say anything then she might NOT like you.... so give it time..... be friends and then after a few weeks of being friend give it a try....she'll know you by now....and if you are already Friends then she doesn't like you SORRY....

She sounds confused to me. Could be she just wants to be friends, but if you keep asking her out, she doesn't seem to be taking the hint that you want to be more than friends. If she calls asking for advice, she could respect you, which would be something positive at least. You should probably tell her straight out that you want to be her BF.

If you keep getting the same outcome try the opposite and see what happens. This will let you know if she's up to something or showing her true self.

Well, if a girl is doing that she is playing hard to get and you can just get uninterested with her because it's going to last a while.

glass half full...they arent excuses and she likes u so she is trying to talk to u whenever she can
glass half empty...she likes u as a friend so wants to keep talkin but u made her uncomfortable by askin her out ...or...she doesnt like u but doenst want to b rude...or...she is messing wit u and makin fun of u behind ur back for thinkin she likes u ( that one is kinda mean but it happens...sadly ive done that to guys :( i know it was mean)

That seems rather strange that she wouldn't jump at the chance to date you. It must be something that is bothering her, age difference, or maybe she has a boyfriend that you don't know about.

My guess is that you're on the string as the backup feelgood guy OR she likes you just as a friend.
