....the thing is (I don't want to be mean) my friend is a little heavy, and although she has a great personality and pretty hair she is rather heavy. And I know that guys are very visual, especially at 15 (which is hers and her crush's age), and I don't think he likes her anything more than a friend. I promised I would ask him but I feel bad because I know he is going to say no (he is my friend too, so I kind of know him). In return she said she would ask him if he liked me (but I don't really care b/c I just like him as a friend even though he is good looking). Help! I don't want to hurt my friend...but I want to tell her the truth! And how can I ask him just casually? w/o wrecking mine and his new friendship?

What i would do is first talk to my friend and let her know that whatever the decison is that ya'll will always b tight. Next ask her crush. If he says yes then great but if he says no like you believe will happen then you have some explaining to do! Tell your friend his answer and of course she will probably be hurt but you have to be with her during this point of time. Try to stay friends with this boy and don't let this mix-up ruin your friendship with him.good luck!

I understand your problem...I have been in the same postiton before. I would just ask the guy for her. You might be surprised at the answer. Many a great relationships have come out of stuff that started just like that. I would though, for the time being, DON'T say anything about you, possible liking him or vise-versa. You don't want to ruin a great friendship, just b/c of a guy. If that is the case, then let lay low for a while and then approach the subject again later, causally. GOOD LUCK!

I understand your disposition and there is few resolutions to escape it. But the only thing I can think of is that you should tell your friend that she shouldn't ask him outbecause IF he says no it could wreck their friendship. OR you could just tell your friend that you don't feel good (given the circomstances) asking him out for her. Tell her that you don't want to come in between- in a civilized manner of course.

Normally, I'd say steer clear of this but I dimly recall the rules of 15hood. You have to ask, you're locked in.
Your friend knows she's heavy. She likes this guy. You're the go-between. Go between, and give her the report.
"Hey, I saw the way Lurlene was looking at you. Is something going on there?"

Tell her you can't ask him something like that because he is your friend too, and no matter what the answer is, you would be betraying his trust by telling her.
If she doesn't get that, ask her how she would feel if you told HIM she likes him.
Say you don't want to get caught in the middle. If he likes her, he'll show it soon enough.
Good luck - sticky situation to be in, but you sound really sensible - you'll deal with it the right way.

dont do it she needs to ask for herself. I am overweight, chubby, fat whatever you want to call it and when i was that age i liked the guys too and none liked me. They wanted the ones that were thin fit and "hot" in there terms, she needs to wait because at this time in her life the boys are going to be mean and cruel and she will just get hurt. Now that i am older i am more mature, still overweight, dress to impress and make sure i am positive in every way and now i have the guys drooling over me. lets just say most of the guys at work beg me to help them and i can pretty much get them to do what i want. once she learns you have to be super positive and show them your not scared to tease give them orders they will drop like flies for her its all a learning process that she will have to figure out for herself. Good Luck to her and whatever you do dont ask him for her.

Well this is a hard situation to think about but here goes.... Tell him that someone likes him and it is your friend... then tell your GF that she needs to do something about how she looks.. maybe you guys can do some exercise together get in shape and see what happen eds and good luck

Thats a real toughie....you should go w/ your first instinct...I personally would try not to get too involved and kinda clear this crush idea by telling her that he already has a girlfriend or something like that....

ask him. if he likes her he likes her. if he doesnt just tell him to b cool about it & dont act diff around her, still b nice. and definitley tell her the truth nothing ever turns out right when u hide things. but dont b mad at him for not likin her lik that if he doesnt. who knos he may like her u wont kno until u ask.

Go ahead and ask him. Just be prepared to be able to gently break the news to your friend if he doesn't like her. Or, you can approach him about who he might like and throw out several names to ask about. Just include your friend.
